Giving Trends in USA
- Family and private foundation giving has risen
- New surge of large gifts (over $100 million) by large foundations
- Rising number of collaborations between two or more large foundations
- In 2001, 9 out of 10 foundations awarded grants to higher and graduate educational institutions
- Foundation giving rose 11.7% to $40.7 billion in 2006 (See Figure A)

Campaign for Purdue Totals
