Deborah Hayworth joined the John Purdue Club staff in early 2008 as operations assistant. Her primary responsibilities include management of all front office staff, providing administrative support to the director of the John Purdue Club, and coordinating support for multiple events.

Prior to joining JPC, Deb served as assistant to the athletic director at Benton Central Jr.-Sr. High School in Oxford, Indiana. Deb brings over 30 years of experience in administrative support, office management and bookkeeping/accounting to the John Purdue Club.

Deb and her husband, Roger, reside in West Lafayette. They have four daughters, two of whom graduated from Purdue University.

Nancy Calahan

Nancy Calahan joined the John Purdue Club staff in late 2004 as a secretary. Her primary responsibilities include management of the membership database/records, providing administrative support to multiple assistant directors and coordinating communications with endowers of scholarships as to their recipients for the annual endowment luncheon.

Prior to joining JPC, Nancy worked with the Marriage and Family Therapy Center and the Purdue Child Care Program, both in the Child Development and Family Studies Department. She spent 10 years as the director of Village Nursery School, a large preschool in West Lafayette.

Nancy holds a degree in education from Iowa State University. She has four children, all are Purdue graduates. Nancy and her husband, Chuck, a professor of family studies, reside in West Lafayette.

 

Stasia Harris

Stasia Harris joined the John Purdue Club staff in early 2009 as the front office receptionist/secretary. Her primary responsibilities include customer service as the first point of contact for current and potential donors, providing administrative support for multiple assistant directors, and coordinating registration and support for numerous annual events.

A licensed Realtor, Stasia previously served in several positions at Purdue including employee relations assistant in Human Resources, secretary to President Emeritus Martin Jischke, and program coordinator/administrative assistant in the College of Agriculture. She brings many years of experience in administrative support and sales to the John Purdue Club family. 

Stasia currently lives in Lafayette with her husband, Randy, and two sons, Donovan and Nelson.

 

Dessa Shinn

Dessa Shinn joined the John Purdue Club staff in late 2008 as a secretary. Her primary responsibilities include monitoring and referring daily e-mails to the general JPC and VPC mailboxes, providing general clerical support and coordinating pick-ups and deliveries across the Intercollegiate Athletic Facilities and across campus.

Prior to joining JPC, Dessa worked at a local travel agency where she was a travel guide for many Boilermaker athletic tours, including bowl games and basketball excursions. She has been a John Purdue Club member for over 25 years.

Dessa has two children and three grandchildren. Her daughter is a Purdue graduate and her oldest granddaughter is a current student in Krannert. Dessa resides in West Lafayette.
