The Team Behind The Teams
Since its inception in 1958, the John Purdue Club has been the home for Purdue's most loyal and devoted fans. Today the JPC is still true to the ideals first envisioned by President Fred Hovde and Athletics Director Guy "Red" Mackey: a family of fans who share a passion for the Old Gold and Black and a commitment to providing a Purdue education for this generation of student-athletes.
As a self-supporting department, Purdue Athletics must rely on the philanthropy of our Boilermaker faithful in order to underwrite the roughly $7.4 million scholarship and academic support costs for our 500+ Boilermaker student-athletes. John Purdue Club members provide Purdue student-athletes with a foundation for success in the classroom, in the competition venues and in life after graduation. The JPC family understands that cheers alone fall short in supporting Boilermaker student-athletes and continuing the tradition that is Purdue Athletics.
The mission of the John Purdue Club, as an integral part of the Purdue Athletics Department, is to continue to maintain a financially self-supporting environment which will provide the resources for coaches and staff to develop championship programs and our student-athletes to develop both academically and athletically. Our execution of this mission is based on the shared values of our John Purdue Club family: integrity, mutual respect, a belief in hard work, team work, a commitment to inclusiveness - and the courage to lead.
