T-Shirts for Troops

In May 2003, the Captains’ Table endorsed the support of United States troops stationed in the Middle East. Many Purdue student-athletes are related to or are friends with members of the U.S. Armed Forces. To show their support of our troops, Purdue student-athletes requested that 250 t-shirts be printed to ship overseas to the troops. Many of the student-athletes autographed the t-shirts prior to shipping.

"We have family, friends, and classmates putting their lives on the line everyday in hopes of creating a better life for the people of Iraq. It is important they know that the Purdue community is supporting them and that our thoughts and prayers are with them."
